sounds good, but to be honest I didn't enjoy v fest that much last year, apart from seeing the pumpkins of course. I enjoyed the side shows much better
are the verve back together?

yeah no one over at Faster Louder is very excited either, haha. i only go to festivals if there's a number of good international bands that appeal to me, and for once there is! it's kind of a weird coincidence all three of those are headlining (Killers, Snow Patrol & KC), because i tend to group them together on my cd rack and like all three on a similar level.

My honest opinion: This lineup is laughable compared to the first two But the top three bands will appeal to a pretty large audience, i read that the festival has struggles somewhat in the initial stages. The Verve are back together, they were a mild rumor for this. Time will tell - Can anyone remember who was left for last years second announcement? Bec, it's always good to enjoy a nice pants crapping every now and then, haha. Oasis were talked up as well, which i thought would have suited.

Beck, Modest Mouse & HHH were all second announcements. maybe Weezer? alot of people on FL seem to be gunning for My Bloody Valentine....
notice that there's no dance acts listed, and they usually have a few bands for older audiences too (eg Duran Duran, Jesus & MC, Pixies etc) so it'll be interesting to see what comes next. i guess The Verve would fit the criteria.

This is laughably abyssmal as far as im concerned, theres not a single band on there that do anything for me. Glad i dont have to worry about making the trip, I was worried My Bloody Valentine were going to play and I'd have to do something but if they come hopefully they'll do sideshows here anyway

the word "bland" comes to mind when I look at that line-up.
Even if "The Verve" or "My Bloody Valentine" get announced, it still won't change how "bland" that first line-up is.

no one shares my excitement I didn't mean my comments to sound harsh lol, sorry if they did. As my guitarist Luke pointed out to me, the last two years we've been spoilt by the line-up's which have managed to cater to our many musical needs, this year is no different it's just a bunch of bands I don't happen to be a fan of. Bland to me, excitement for others, the beauty of different music speaking to different people. He has a way of grounding my elite opinions.

oh no they weren't harsh at all, haha. when i get excited about something i kind of go crazy and just want to share it, but seeing as hardly any of my friends like/know the same bands as me, i'm pretty much used to it.

How fast do the tickets usually sell out?? they don't, haha. i don't think any of them have ever sold out, you've got plenty of time to buy your ticket. if i can restrain myself i might wait until after xmas to buy mine, but there's always that voice in the back of my head telling me i might miss out.

Razorlight and The Kills have been added. I'd say a lot of people will be keen to check The Kills out so will be interesting to see what other shows they do.
