I got my Perth tickets, emailed my friend who then bought two tickets (about 4 minutes after me) - he got two rows closer than I did... weird. But seriously, two rows? Who cares - so excited. Jimmy or no Jimmy, this is the best I can get so I'll take it. After waiting for 12 years to see them live at all I'm amazed I get to see them just 2 years after V Festival. Woo!

Kinda wish I could do Brissy, the Tivoli is definitely the pick of the venues. Little word on City Riots, unfortunately they're one of those bands that have friends in high places... thats all i really have to say. Needless to say they dont have too many fans amongst the adelaide music community. Hoping Billy is taking some special requests from Jess?.. and that she has decent taste

I remember her tweeting lyrics to Zero ... less than 2 weeks later, Zero was added to the setlist.

Dont know why they are playing big top at luna park... probably one of the worst venues in sydney.
Apart from this i'm totally excited, will be good to see how the SP3 sounds live.

Got melbourne tickets for myself and the good wife, Row A Section 9 (where Billy said that we looked like rats in a cage last year) Spewing that I couldn't get Balcony Seats though.
Hopefully I can see more this year, last time we where closer to the front wall but sat back further, couldn't see anything past the speaker stacks, couldn't see Jimmy at all, I hate the layout of that place!!!!!!

Got tickets for Melbourne and Sydney - although I am a little worried now as I chose the "Licensed" tickets, as in over 18 tickets and am concerned that this means that I can't go down onto the floor, is this the case?

For Festival Hall? I think it is actually the other way around, licensed is floor and under 18 is limited to seats.

it changes depending on the demographic, but the important thing is whether you chose floor or not.. if you didnt buy a floor ticket, you cant get down there.
i did a photoshoot this morning at sunrise in glen waverley with a friend, went to get tickets from the venue on the way back home, i was there killing time for 2 hours reading harry potter, and NO ONE else came! was crazy. is there so little interest in the tour? or do people not line up anymore for tickets?
anywho, got front row middle for the balcony.
edit: top bit was directed at michael

I got up at 4am to get tickets to the Sydney show. I was on a bus to Seville when the pre-sale went on. Will try to arrange Melbourne when I get back to Aus on the 3rd. Sounds like I should be able to score tickets at this rate.

NO ONE else came! was crazy. is there so little interest in the tour? or do people not line up anymore for tickets? There's this thing now called the internet. Also, Ticketmaster outlets are usually closer to people's houses than Festering Hole itself. AFAIK those would be the two main avenues of obtaining a ticket...

The interest is there, I think it's just so quick and still spreading the news. Was announced last week, tickets went on sale today, advertising hit the street press etc today and the tour is 4 weeks away.

right because ratm and fnm had been highly anticipated.
we may have seen this tour coming, but the general public will not have.

FNM and RATM were headlining festivals so their name was everywhere, they were reunion tours playing greatest hits shows (none of this new album stuff Corgan is supporting - silly man ) ... and there was months of build up for those shows. This show is under the radar for most, plus I think a few people that saw them in 2008 won't see them this time around. (since there is no Jimmy and they didn't play the friendliest sets last time and I think that turned a lot of people off)

but surely with all the anticipation for those shows people would have been prepared to be infront of the internet thing and buy the tickets from there

hmmm, well me email receipt from ticketmaster was... Order for: osullivan Seat location: section FLOOR So that's good news then As for 'anticipation' for the tour, I don't think there is really any way to tell is there? I think Sunky is right about the 2008 tour killing it for some people...I guess the only thing you can do as a fan is get the word out that they are coming on social media sites and whatnot...that's what I've been doing anyway, like in the old ZWAN days, hahaha! Well, except that now I don't have to leave my house to put stickers and posters everywhere

I got my Sydney ticket a couple of days ago for the Sydney show, so excited. Anyone keen on hanging out before and during the show as I have never been to Sydney and won't have any friends to go with. :-( lol Would be keen to hear from a fellow hardcore SP fan like me! Just email me (wombat77@ihug.co.nz)if anyone is keen. Would be cool to hang out with a small group of around 5 or so during the night. This is subject to change if Billy announces some NZ shows then I will be selling my Sydney ticket if this is the case. Cheers.
