Yeah I agree Vic ... would be crazy ramblings from bree and i too ... hehe Hmm the artwork, I like the actual artwork ... but the typography is kind of ... weird. Its a Siamese Dream font used on a 2008 DVD ... that has no Siamese songs on it. Its weird and I think it could have been done a lot better. As for the songs included, wow! No singles at all ... this is a live release of new music ... this is awesome, plus will be great that the audio will be ripped too. ... finally a soundboard of Gossamer, Mama, 99 Floors ... its exciting!

Well, the artwork is headed in a better direction than Zeitgeist!
Actually, I quite like it. Seems to me that the artwork somewhat harkens back to the Machina days in terms of alchemy and archetypal symbols etc (I'm referring to the halo around the central figures face) which is cool, seeing as though Billy has mentioned that the band are to be heading in an more 'arts' focussed direction, this seems to be a good sign.
And it's prettier, which is nice, as I've noticed some Ozphorians have mentioned the lack of errrm, what would you call it, maybe quintessential pumpkinesque beauty?
ok ok ok I know......

Woo hoo!
12 Cameras sounds good to me. Live DVD's can be ruined by one dimensional bland footage

Can't wait for this - going to be great.
But it would seem clear to me that the majority of people that buy this will be fans at the more die-hard end of the spectrum. No way a casual fan would pick this up, look at the set list and buy it. I'd reckon that many people who aren't big fans have even heard of half of those songs. Set list doesn't even get me that pumped, but that's just me.

It is odd ... plus odd for Peace + Love to be on there twice ... I'm trying to find out if its a typo or if 'If All Goes Wrong' ends up as a secret track.
Still confused about the use of Siamese Dream font ... hmm.
But we finally get a soundboard of Gossamer ... now its just which one they use? ... hmmm.

I love Uli, and I've been getting into the Scorpions of late ... but that version of Gossamer ... did he know what he was playing at some parts? His guitar was up to loud, he messes around and goes against the flow of the song ... it really irritates me. Aaaaanyway. If All Goes Wrong has been entered into the Ghent Film festival ... guess that got me thinking about the documentary, there have been whispers in press releases and from people that the band have really bared all for this ... no not in a "Girls one Wild" sense (woo Spring Break!) ... but in their honesty towards the music, audience etc ... could this back fire ... hmm, Im really excited to see it ... maybe more than the concert footage. PRESS RELEASE FROM SP.COM The Smashing Pumpkins documentary "If All Goes Wrong" has been accepted to The Ghent Film Festival as part of their official program. "If All Goes Wrong" will be screened twice there on 10/17 at 8:15 PM and 10/18 at 8 PM as part of the EYE TUNES music documentary competition. If you are in Belgium, or anywhere near there, this is your chance to see the film on the big screen as an official entry in an international film festival. The Ghent Film Festival is Belgium's most prominent annual film event. It started in 1974 as a student's film festival and has developed into one of Europe's foremost film events. Recently Variety called the festival one of the 50 "must attend fests", and The Wall Street Journal catalogued it amongst the 5 European "fest with character"! Every year in October it presents some 190 feature films and 100 shorts from all over the world in various sections to an audience of some 110,000 spectators. The festival is covered by the Benelux press and media and attracts attention from foreign press and professional industry. Its 35th edition is scheduled October 7th to 18th, 2008. Please read more on the festival's websites: www.filmfestival.be and www.worldsoundtrackawards.com.

So still no word on international release date. I know is still a while until release however this is starting to feel like American Gothic all over again, very little info for people outside of the states.

What a hard working band, seriously!!! American Gothic, Superchrist, Aussie Tour and now an awesome documentary/concert. They spoil me!!! looking forward to a better quality version of Gossamer, though i do like the June 6th version. Can't wait for this! fingers crossed for an Aussie release date showing up soon.

I just had a thought, wonder if anybody else could offer their opinion....
Since the Pumpkins are now free agents, would it be harder for them to get their hard copy published and distributed outside the US? Obviously they would have good contacts and a solid network within the US, but does being a world-wide distributor of music like Virgin, WB, etc make it easier to get these things out into a broader non-US market? Is this possibly the reason why there is no international release of 'If All Goes Wrong' (and therefore might never be one), and American Gothic? Billy's current idea of creating and selling EPs would work fine with iTunes as the medium, but even if they created EP CDs, would they ever be distributed outside the US? Sorry if this is a little off topic, but I thought it might be relevant to 'If All Goes Wrong' in the overall scheme of things.
In hindsight, I really should've put this in the 'Ask the Smashing Pumpkins a question' thread.....

all they need to do is get a distribution deal, which is essentially what, for example, john butler has.

Well It's just over a month until the release date and Sanity and JBHifi are none the wiser about releases as far as I can see from their websites. We opted for the fastest shipping option on Amazon and it says we should have it by about the 19th of November which is pretty good really... we'll see if it works out but so far that's the closest I've seen to same day release.
