Question about the venue - does it have good under cover shelter? I just looked and saw its going to rain all week in Sydney ... if we are lining up early, I want to be under cover at least.

When is everyone planning on getting there? My hotel doesnt have check in til 2pm - so Im gonna try and fudge it so i can check in at 1:30 and then cruise straight over. Otherwise i could be there at 230. Someone better save me a spot near the front of the line! And yeah - as far as waiting in line - there is no undercover. But you can throw rocks at the bar from where you wait - its honestly across the road!

It sounds like a lot of you are arriving pretty early and since ive never been to the hordern, what are the advantages of arriving early? I assume its the seating. (and how early? i finish work at 4pm at strathfield)
Now my girlfriend isnt a fan and doesnt like to be pushed/squeezed so i figure Ill sit at the back in the seats bit scared that its way too far to take pictures and see the band, thoughts?
appreciated

Well think about it like this - at the hordern the seating is in a squared U shape with the stage at the top of the U. Then theres general admission standing room all in the middle. The advantage of lining up early is a better chance at getting a barrier spot (I would assume)
Ive never got seating tix there before - but I assume that seating is an allocated thing - that you haveta sit where your ticket tells you.

Oh - I asked my photographer mate about Hordern/Cameras - he said theyre all cool with it. So I assume its up to the particular bands - of which SP seem to be cool with it.

I believe Hordern is all GA , meaning one of two things
1 the seats wont be open
2 it will be free for all on the seats

in terms of seating at the horden; its all GA, so anyone can sit anywhere they want. as far as i know they dont close the seating area
i was there for NIN in September and i was just hanging in the seats before the support act came on; at which point i went down onto the floor and got an awesome spot it the crowd.
no theres no cover outside, so if it rains, you will get wet

Also, do ppl prefer seating or in da middle? Determines when i should arrive. thanks!

majority of people lining up early will go for the rail, but some will line up early for a good seat

The seats would actually be pretty good if you got the front row in the middle at the bottom of the U. But who wouldnt wanna be in amongst the thick of things when BWBW or something is in full flight!
