That was so awesome - meeting Sunky & Russ was cool too, really nice guys and I'm so envious of those of you getting to see the show more than once.
People got up now and then mainly for the "hits" or to cheer for songs at the end. Had never heard The Fellowship before, REALLY liking that. Plus I'd only heard As Rome Burns yesterday since Russ had mentioned it on here and I quickly Tubed it - awesome. Drown, Eye, Stumbeline, Landslide, Shame - Mike is incredible to watch, just like Jimmy.
Enjoy the shows guys!

There were a few "bogans" as Billy called them - saw one guy at the Metro bar downing pints on his own in a Zero shirt. And it was his kind yelling out stuff that got annoying but luckily didn't seem to get to Billy and the band.
Its unfortunate that you have to worry about this shit when you've paid $85 for a show - don't drunks think they could stay at home and yell at their stereos and spend the $85 on more booze rather than embarrassing real fans.
But, it wasn't that bad really - just more of an overall rant.

I recorded about an hours worth on my phone lastnight, audio quality came out alright, I recorded some footage on my digi cam at 720p, amazed at how good the audio quality was with that considering previous video recordings i've made with it have been all distorted, must've been my shit seats that helped me there. It was surreal meeting Billy and the band and I hated I was the first one that had to meet him, I was nervously fumbling about but wow, Billy Corgan!! And Jessica Veronica was sitting in the first row watching them soundcheck... might be worth noting SP soundchecked Zero but didn't actually perform it live, maybe Jessica wanted to hear it by herself. I think they learned Stumbleine that day as they played it at least 5 times during soundcheck and a 6th when security let us in to watch a bit of it. I found some of the crowd to be annoying, did Billy really use the word Bogans? Classic. There were some guys aged 17-20 a few rows behind me who spent pretty much the entire concert (seriously at least well over an hour) standing in the aisle/stairs... clapping... out of time... constantly. They would not shut the fuck up. It was even more noticable in the quiet parts of some songs and the clapping was just... well... WHY?!?! I can appreciate a bit of audience participation but those stupid fuckers were so annoying, i'm surprised no one around them told them to stop making such a noise, they were clapping all through Song For A Son, and in US when Billy shredded by himself they still clapped and started chanting "GET GOING BILL", fucking bogans arjuhkjhsdjdshdjh. I also couldn't help but shake my head at the reaction some people had to the "hits" that got played and all the air punching and finger pointing at the band, I guess I was a little jaded cause that's all I saw at the One Movement music festival a few days prior to this... lots of drunk bogans and finger pointing and getting all jovial when a song they recognise gets played, ugh. Anwyay, AMAZING concert, Mike did a really really great job, his hands are amazingly fast and he only dropped a stick once, in Gossamer I think. Thoroughly enjoyed it and As Rome Burns was so intense live, god damnnnnnn.

Does anyone know if entrance to the Sound check would be on offer in Melbourne like their previous shows? and if so what time would be best to get their to ensure you'll get in? I can't wait for the Melbourne show managed to get Row A tickets for it in Section 10 so it should be mind blowingly good! ;D

I notice that Drown and As Rome Burns were dropped from the setlist for Adelaide but nothing replaced them........thats pretty unlucky. They have a day off before doing the NZ show I hope we dont get a shortened setlist

Went along to the Adelaide gig last night. Played a much smaller venue than last time (the crowd was significantly smaller….but keep in mind QOTSA also were on the bill last time around) but I think this added to the more relaxed vibe of the night.
Unlike the last tour, there seemed to be far fewer restless people there waiting for the “hit” songs and talking through the slower tunes. Made for a better night.
I’m not all that familiar with the new work (appalling I know!) but most of them seemed to work pretty well live. For me, SIYL, Eye and Shame were the highlights.
I thought Mike did a pretty good job on drums. He made me feel old…

HI Guys...........
When I learned the Pumpkins were touring in October I was anxious in the hope the tour would not clash with my impending marriage...........
Now I am going to the Melbourne Concert and getting married the following day in Melbourne, could not think of a better 'Last Night before I am married Event'
Look forward to catching up with everyone
Congrats to those who have been able to meet and greet the band so far......

Can anyone tell me what time SP has been coming on stage for their OZ shows? Have they been early, on-time or late? I'm heading to the Syd show and don't want to miss the start like I did last time when Billy decided to start early.

they didn't go on early last tour, it was that there was no support, so when it started at 8, it was straight away the pumpkins.
